Suzanne Breen reports that the South Derry brigade has left the PIRA and is setting up its own outfit, independent of other dissident republican armed forces, e.g. RIRA, CIRA, INLA. Sinn Fein's move toward cooperation on policing seems to be their main complaint. Their numbers are probably quite small, and, as we've heard from a number of sources, the dissidents are in general easily penetrated by the security forces.
